The History of the Naughty Nellie

Unique bootjacks have been around since the early 1800's and were commonplace in bunkhouses across the Wild West.

Traditional bootjacks came in many styles and designs, but none had charm like the Naughty Nellie.

Naughty Nellie, a symbol of the 1800's Dance Hall Girl was considered daring for her time. No one knows for sure how the Naughty Nellie design originated. The Nellie unique bootjacks were made of cast iron. They were kept handy on bunkhouse floors, ready to help cowboys, eager to rid their boots after a long day on the range.
